In Santa María del Río, artisans have been making their own designs for more than a century. There are barbilla ones, which were initially only brown, and the pigeon, which combined black and white tones. Then came the catiteo, which was a kind of silk. In addition, all dyeing was done naturally, fermenting the indigo or lichen, which are the materials from which the color was obtained.
